Zed-1 are now using the very own 1043cc liquid-cooled inline-Four engine. Kawasaki claims the new machine using the architecture itself and not based on the previous good '953cc bike ZX-9R-derived motor current or found in the Ninja ZX-10R. A 90cc bump in displacement is calculated by boring a bit smaller (77.2 vs. 77.0 mm) and larger stroke (56.0 vs. 50.9mm).
